The AccuRAID AS212X2 Series is a 2U rack-mountable SAS JBOD rackmount for high capacity storage solution. Utilizing the latest SAS technology, AS212X2 provide SAS host to 12 high performance SAS hard drive or high capacity SATA drive. Unlike other enclosure SAS Expander product in the market, AS212X2 supports SES enclosure management via in-band connection with different RAID controller. Your data is protected by RAID protection provided by LSI, 3ware, Intel, Dell, ATTO, Areca or Adaptec SAS RAID controller to ensure the performance and redundancy. Redundancy power supply and cable-less backplane design provide the best performance and reliability for high capacity storage. The AS212X2 is the most versatile SAS/SATA II Disk Expansion system, ideal for midrange and high capacity storage environments. Futhermore, the AS212X2 supports the choice of SAS (Serial Attached SCSI), and SATA II (Serial ATA) drive configurations to deliver a system bandwidth of up to 1,200 MB/sec.

  • Cable-less & Modular Design - Cable-less backplane and IO module guarantees maximum data signal integrity, eliminating potential troubles by cable-wiring, easy to service and maintain.
  • Staggering Spin-Up - Built-in staggering spin-up for hard disks at power up. The feature extends the life/duty cycle of the hard disks and power supply.
  • LCD Display & Enclosure ID - Included LCD displays critical information of the enclosure. Also, the LCD shows the ID of the enclosure, so in a multiple enclosure environment, when the RAID management tells which enclosure has drive failure, you know exactly which enclosure to look for.
  • Enclosure Management (SES) - Utilizes industry-standard SCSI Enclosure Services (SES) to monitor enclosure and disk environmental conditions, and communicate with host RAID adapter and shows enclosure info from within the RAID management console.
  • Scalability - Supports up to 4 enclosures chained together for capacity expansion.
  • Multi-purposes - Supports both SAS (Serial SCSI) or SATA disks to meet the requirements of different applications with different price/performance characteristics. Cost-effective SATA drives can be used for capacity orientated storage such as disk-to-disk backup, and data-archiving, or digital video editing. Enterprise level SAS drives can be employed for I/O intensive applications including transactional databases
