AccuSTOR AS316X6HP - 3U 16 Bay 6G SAS/SATA Dual Core Hardware RAID 5/6/50/60 Rackmount

The AccuSTOR AS316X6HP  is a 3U 16-bay 6G SAS or SATA RAID storage system providing over 1700MB/s with RAID 6 protection. The package includes a dual core PCIe 2.0 x8 RAID controller with a dedelicated dual core RAID engine to offload complex RAID calculations from server or workstation. To increase the return of investment, the AS316X6HP  supports SAS and SATA drives and allows the expansion of up to 4 units. Built-in support for online-expansion and online-RAID migration allow capacity expansion without downtime. Enclosure and RAID management could be monitored via the built-in WEB interface for remote monitoring, without addition software install to the host computer to eliminate compatibility issues. E-mail notification and SNMP trap features are available for further monistoring of RAID and enclosure status. The rackmounts is also design with modularized controller and hot-swappable power supply, to provide fail-safe high performance data storage.

Note: Sans Digital recommends the use of enterprise hard drives when in use with any RAID controller applications. Standard desktop or green desktop drive may not be supported and may compromise RAID system stability and performance. • Latest 6G Technology - 6G interface provides double the bandwidth of the older 3G interface. SAS 6G and SATA 6G hard drives connected via a 6G backpane and 6G SAS expander controller to the 6G PCIe 2.0 x8 controller. 3G hard drives are backward compatible. 
• Dedicated RAID IO processor - Dedicated RAID engine with hardware RAID IO processor provides high performance over 1700MB/s read write performance in RAID 6. 
• High avaliablity RAID support - Supports up to RAID 6 and 60, with hot-spare drives, allowing up to 2 hard drives failure.
• Scalability - Supports up to 4 enclosures chained together for capacity expansion, up to 64 drives.
• Multi-purposes - Supports both SAS (Serial SCSI) or SATA hard drives to meet the requirements of different applications with different price/performance characteristics. Cost-effective SATA drives could be used for capacity orientated storage such as disk-to-disk backup, data-archiving, and digital video editing. Enterprise level SAS drives could be employed for I/O intensive applications such as transactional databases.
• System Event Notification - E-Mail Notification and SNMP Trap supported for both RAID and enclosure status, including RAID drives, SMART, failure and rebuild information, power supply and cooling fan enclosure status.
• Cable-less & Modular Design - Cable-less backplane and controller module guarantees maximum data signal integrity, eliminating potential troubles by cable-wiring, for easy to service and maintenance.
• Staggering Spin-Up - Built-in staggering spin-up for hard drives during power up, extending the life / duty cycle of the hard drives and power supply.
• LCD Display & Enclosure ID - Built-in LCD displays critical enclosure information. The LCD displays the ID of the enclosure, where each enclosure could be easily identified in a multiple-enclosure environment.
• Enclosure Craftsmanship - Compact 3U x 16-bay with very short depth (18.12”), Built with durable metal material. Excellent cooling with minimal noise.
