The MobileSTOR MS1UTP is a unique external 3.5” SATA hard drive enclosure with a removable hard drive tray along with USB 3.0 and eSATA dual interfaces. The new USB 3.0 specification provides up to 5Gb/s of data bandwidth which is 10x faster than the speed of USB 2.0. High performance hard drives could now utilize the increased bandwidth to provide maximum data transfer performance. USB 3.0 is fast, versatile and allows backward compatibility with USB 2.0 ports when USB 3.0 port is unavailable. The combination of fan-less design and aluminum housing provides quiet yet cool operation. With portability in mind, the compact MS1UTP weighs only 2.2 lbs. The removable hard drive tray is interchangeable with certain MobileSTOR or MobileRAID series models to provide best compatibility between various MobileSTOR and MobileRAID models. The versatile MS1UTP can be placed either vertically or horizontally on your desktop. MS1UTP supports OS such as MS-Windows, Linux and Mac OS with Time Machine. Combining the elegant aluminum housing with USB 3.0 and eSATA performance along with the fan-less technology, the MS1UTP is your ideal storage system for personal or creative professional's data storage needs. *MAC currently does not support USB 3.0 adapter cards, but is compatible with MS1UTP via eSATA and USB 2.0 ports.
